Rudy is a true all American male going back to some of the most famous Royal and Von Tasz dogs, including BIS UKC CH Von Tasz Jack of All Trades UUD UDX TDI TT CGC and AWSA/WSCC CH UKC GRCH Royal Sir Isaac's IQ UCD UAG1 CD TT CGC. On his dam's side, Rudy comes from lesser known lineage which contributes to greater genetic diversity in his pedigree and his offspring. Rudy is also the sire of one of our favorite males, IABCA IntCH UKC GRCH Thornvalley's Wonderful Oz BH AD URO2. Rudy is a large, powerful male whom we feel is a fantastic match for our Furrari.

ABOUT THE FREEDOM LITTER

PREGNANCY CONFIRMED VIA ULTRASOUND

We are elated to announce the planned breeding between RUDY and FURRARI! Since the beginning, it has been our intention to incorporate the American WSS lineage into our program, and we could not dream of a male better to use for this purpose than Rudy. Both Rudy and Furrari have attained the elusive Total Dog award multiple times and both have received High in Trial awards as well. Rudy and Furrari have incredibly different pedigrees as far as White Swiss Shepherd pedigrees go, and we are hopeful this pairing will bring us a lower Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) than our previous litters. Some may remember that Optimal Selection/Genoscoper used to have a breeder tool that would use DNA to predict the best pairings. When this program was still up and running, Rudy was Furrari's #1 match in terms of genetic diversity. Unfortunately, Rudy passed away earlier this year at 12 years old (this breeding will be done via frozen semen). Rudy was owned by our amazing friend, Melanie Fuellgraf // Thornvalley.

Rudy does not carry long coat, so we are expecting a litter of short coats only. We expect to have puppies that would excel in a variety of dog sports, but particularly obedience, or as active family companions. Rudy was training for his IGP1 with plans to trial, but unfortunately was never able to compete due to a CCL tear. Melanie says Rudy had very strong grips in protection when he was training. Furrari has also had some IGP training, but has not titled past BH in large part due to starting late in life. Both dogs have been successful in UKC conformation, rally, and obedience and Furrari is also titled in agility, precision coursing, nosework, dock diving, tricks, and weight pull.
